Version 1-1: The first version of Powerlines, released in 2009. You can guide your line, but there are no specials.
Version 1-2: This version comes with the first specials: Powerups and border handicaps. Now you can pass straight in a border and you will reappear on the other side.
Version 2-1: The hardware handling of version 2-1 is much better, so Powerlines 2-1 works faster on old computers. Two new specials are available: Bombs and Teleport.
